Exciting Job Opportunity at the Emergency Planning Unit
Emergency Planning Officer Grade: Scale 6 plus casual car user allowance Are you a person who remains calm in a crisis? Are you able to anticipate and plan for the unexpected? If so, you are our kind of person! Based at the Cleveland Emergency Planning Unit in Middlesbrough you will join a small but busy team of experienced professionals who deliver civil contingencies and emergencies planning within the four council areas of Hartlepool, Middlesbrough, Redcar & Cleveland and Stockton-on-Tees. We are looking for a self motivated, innovative and enthusiastic person with strong inter-personal and communication skills to undertake aspects of emergency and contingency planning, from the development and reviewing of plans and procedures, to responding to emergencies, the development and delivery of training programmes and community risk assessment. You also become the lead officer on some specific aspects of emergency planning. Successful applicants will be subject to an enhanced CRB check.
