Flu Pandemics
There has been a lot
of concern recently over pandemic flu. The Department of Health
has published a contingency plan, information and resources for the
general public as well as health professionals. The plan has been
produced to ensure that the Government, Councils, Public and NHS are
prepared in the event of a flu pandemic.
The Local Authorities
are working in partnership with the health organisations under the
National Flu Pandemic Contingency Plan and work is continuing to ensure
that essential Council Services can be maintained.
