The Cleveland Emergency Planning Unit (CEPU) provides an emergency planning service to the four local authorities in the former Cleveland area. Our role is to ensure the local authorities are prepared to respond to emergencies and to support the emergency services and the community.
This website gives an introduction to our work, our aims, objectives, mission statement as well as advice on Business Continuity and what to do in the event of an incident. If you can't find what you need on the website or if you have any comments or queries please use the feedback page or contact us directly via phone/e-mail.
The Unit also incorporates the Emergency Planning Officers from Cleveland Police and Cleveland Fire Brigade. This approach ensures strong partnership working with excellent co-operation and sharing of information.
